As the Centre is not done with its changes to India’s currency & recently RBI has released new 50 & 200 rupees note, but there’s one thing to be happy you can say!
The new fluorescent blue color 50 rupees currency has got everyone’s attention recently!
The note which features Mahatma Gandhi’s image on the front and the famous stone chariot from Hampi, Karnataka, on the reverse.
The ‘Stone Chariot’ located inside the Vittala Temple premises in Hampi of Karnataka state is one of the heritage monuments that depict the cultural heritage of the nation. Hampi has been internationally recognised as a world heritage site by the UNESCO. It is said that the king constructed this unique structure after he got fascinated with the Konark Sun Temple chariot while fighting a battle in Odisha. The ‘Stone Chariot’ was constructed to represent the beauty and artistic perfection of the Empire.
And the back side is also having the very famous and one of the oldest form of artwork ‘PattaChitra‘ of Odisha & Puri’s Raghurajpur is famous for Pattachitra.
On the reverse, the note is having the year of printing of the note on the left, Swachh Bharat logo with slogan, language panel, motif of Hampi with Chariot, denominational numeral ५० in Devnagari.
