Is the only way left now? Welcome To Smart City Rourkela of 21st Century Or We can say the same is happening everywhere!
Yesterday a facebook account named ‘Hindu Vote Bank’ has published an image claiming that the picture is somewhere near the petrol pump close to Uma theater in Rourkela. Where the ceramic tiles with the pictures of Hindu gods have been installed in order to stop people from urinating on the walls.
Like Really? We’re yet to confirm the image as we all know that social media is the most bizzare and brutal place where anything can happen but if this is true then we need to check again where we’re standing in 21st century and that too in a smart city. Urinating in public is a common thing in India and even Indian law is helpless with this regard. Check Out The Original Post Below!
Few days ago DNAIndia has Published the below which is a remarkable example for this incident.
It has stated that “Few days ago, a housing complex filed a petition in public interest in the High Court of Delhi. But the petition was rejected by the court with a comment, “Court cannot ask people to place a lock on the zips of their trousers. Such things come under good manners and these shameful acts cannot be stopped until people themselves realise that they are doing wrong.”
Petitioner Manoj Sharma said that the residents of his society are unhappy because of ‘shameless’ people who pee on their society’s wall. They tried to stop such acts by writing several warnings on the wall but it turned out to be futile. The High Court suggested to paste pictures of the gods and goddesses thinking that people might curb their ‘urge’ to pee at least for god’s sake.”
Even the court is now helpless. Now all we can do is expecting some quick action and new law which can prevent people from doing this shame-full act in public. While the Indian govt. is doing their best to bring Swachhata in every city, this people ignore everything!
