Exit-poll results for 2019 general election made Omar Abdullah switch off his tv and log out from social media. The identical results in every news channel done by various survey agencies give a thumbs up to NDA but it seems like most of the opposition leaders are agree with the newsroom assumptions.
What’s not so surprising?
In West-Bengal TMC leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made some serious allegations against BJP. In her tweet, she appealed to non-NDA parties to support her.
I don’t trust Exit Poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all Opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together— Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) May 19, 2019
Not only Mamata, but Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also suggested news channels and people to wait till 23rd of May for the final result.
But what is surprising?
BJD MP candidate and Kanak News founder Soumya Ranjan Patnaik rules out exit-poll results of his own channel!
On 19th May evening, the channel telecasted the KanakNews-Sambad exit-poll results which have predicted the Bharatiya Janata Party making gains in the Odisha.
But during a debate in the same channel, he refused to accept any exit-poll results but that’s not it!
In just a matter of time, former journalist Satyajitbimal Mishra who’s also the media panellist for Biju Janata Dal has raised questions on the authenticity of channels exit-poll and asked several questions on his social media handle.
While every news channels are predicting almost the same results, it’ll be interesting to see the actual poll results on 23rd May.
