Is Smart City Rourkela- which is known as one of the safest city of Odisha is not safe anymore?
Where many eve-teasing and other cases against woman are coming to notice in case of Bhubaneswar, this incident in Rourkela has shocked everyone.
And what is more pathetic is that the incident happened in broad daylight when Rourkela railways station is mostly busy and crowded. The 13 year old minor girl is the resident of Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, had arrived at nearly 02.30 in the afternoon at the station with her family.
As per the complaint the girl had gone to the toilet when the caretaker of the toilet and his friend molested her.
In an attempt to escape, they even tried to stop her but somehow she rescued herself. Police have filed a case of attempt to rape and investigating the issue as the accused persons are absconding.
