Odisha Girl Aparajita Set A New Record & Now She’s India’s Youngest Chess Coach! Well Done Girl!


If we will go on counting achievements of our girls then it will never end and this is yet another! We all know that engg. students are best in everything except engineering and MBA’s best in what they do but here’s this young MBA girl from Odisha who’s living her dreams & who set a milestone for others to follow.

It is surely a pleased minute for the people of Odisha as chess star Aparajita Gochhikar has earned the qualification of turning into India’s youngest national coach to represent the country in Asian Youth Chess Championship-2017.

Quite, the Uzbekistan Chess Federation (UCF) is arranging the Asian Youth Chess Championship and Asian Youth Rapid and Blitz Championships.

Aparajita is now holding the tile of Candidate Master & National Instructor (NI) & is all set to become the coach of the team picked up for the world event to be held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan from March 30 to April 10, a letter by Sports Authority of India said.

Awarded by the Chief Ministers Merit Award, the 24-year-old from Puri has sacked numerous national and global titles. Prior, she had packed away silver and bronze awards in open class in World Amateur Chess Championship-2016 at Halkidiki, Greece. In addition, she has likewise won silver medat at Commonwealth Chess Championship for two sequential years in 2012 and 2013 at Chennai and Port Elizabeth, South Africa individually.

Aparajita is a former student of city-based KIIT University. At present, she is related with KIIT Chess Academy for improvement of the game in Odisha.
