The govt. of India has passed the new act on Road Transport & Safety in the parliament yesterday. And it seems like the traffic rules are going to be stricter from now onwards.

New Traffic Rules, Now You’ve To Pay Rs.1000 Fine For Riding Without Helmet & 3 Months License Disqualification As Per New Traffic Rules!

Even if you’re a first time violator of traffic rules, you still have to pay 10 times of the fine what it was before.

Fine for traffic offender starts from rupees 500 to as maximum as 10,000 rupees, as per the new act and it has been increased by 5-10 times than the existing fine. This fine will be implemented once the President of India approves in a week time.

Previously a person has to pay the fine of Rs.100 for driving without helmet and now it has changed to Rs.1000 and license disqualification for 3 months. Similarly Rs.2000 fine and license disqualification for 3 months for overloading of two-wheelers.

If the offence will be committed by a juvenile/minor, then their parents have to pay the amount of Rs.25,000 with 3 years imprisonment.
