Dancing and chanting in the streets with tents full of free food, yoga, and kirtan and entertainments on main stage, where lakhs of devotees gathered to see a glimpse of the lord Jagannath, Balabhadra & Subhadra at Puri badadanda.
And feeling the emotions of the devotees and thousands of listeners of BIGFM, the BIG team covered the festival from the ground zero itself. In a mood of love and devotion which invokes auspiciousness for universal peace, harmony, and good will for all of God’s children. This is the first of it’s kind of coverage and broadcasting on radio during any Rath Yatra.
On Friday, lakhs of devotees reached Jagannath Mandir or Srimandir, as the holy trinity of Gods gave their first glimpses after the 15 days healing ritual at the Puri Srimandir.
Meanwhile, the Jagannath temple management has made all arrangements for the smooth completion of the special ritual. Security has been beefed up in the holy town in view of the festivities and BIG FM Music jockeys MJ RAJIV & MJ GURU were all prepped up for the big day with the team at the ground with MJ Guddi & senior producer Anadi Puhan from the studio.
This year BIGFM gifted their listeners with continuous coverage of Rath Yatra on both ON AIR and on digital platform. “The personal contact with BIGFM MJ’s was warm and encouraging”- said one of the listener after one to one interaction With the Music Jockeys at at Puri Badadanda.
Talking To 92.7 BIGFM Odisha station head Mr. Soubhagya Behera said, “The number of calls and messages from our listeners encouraged us to do such kind of huge coverage from Puri with sending our MJ’s on ground and the same will be done during Bahuda Jatra as well!”
