We’re talking here about all the budget as only the railway budget have taken the entire limelight this year. Not 1000 or 2000 crore, it’s the highest ever railway package ever given to Odisha but the state govt. is still unhappy.
Odisha seeks Rs 5,870 crore package in Railway Budget and guess how much we got. Rs 5,102 crore for development of Railways in the Union Budget for 2017-18 against the state’s demand. It means 87% of the states demand. Isn’t that huge?
Big states like Andhra and Chattisgarh have been allocated with only Rs.3406 and 3676 crores respectively. Not only that the online ticket booking price has also been slashed by the govt. in the budget.
Let’s have a look at Odisha’s previous railway budget.
