Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik suspended BJD MP Baijayant Jay Panda today evening.
Deepening the crisis in the ruling party, few days back many of the party workers and suporters complained to supremo and seems like Naveen Patnaik has pre decided his mind to sack Panda from the party.
Suspended for ‘anti-party’ work, Baijayant Jay Panda is the MP from Kendrapara distrtict. Now the questions arises is Baijayant Panda going to hold BJP’s hand and who will replace Baijayant Panda in BJD? Panda triggered a storm in the party last week after he accused the chief minister’s private secretary of “interfering in party affairs and unconstitutionally indulging in politics”.
Allegations were mounting that he was disregarding party workers, following which Patnaik had appointed minister Usha Devi and senior leader Pramilla Mallick to probe the allegations against Baijayant Panda, setting the tone for disciplinary action against the rebel MP.
While many believes that Panda’s continuous criticism for Biju Janta Dal and his soft corner for Modi and BJP has led him to this; where in the other hand most of the political pundits consider it as Panda’s own plan to get into BJP with a big political drama, which will give him a major political boost.
Odisha Shines is closely watching this big political drama as the crisis and controversy in BJD has just begun.
