Adani To Raise Investment By Rs 3,000 Crore In Odisha

Gautam Adani a first generation Indian entrepreneur who is the Chairman and founder of Adani Group owns a BMW 7 series stretch limousine and known for his lifestyle is neither a new name in India’s business world, nor a small one. Known as an Indian multinational conglomerate company which is into almost every category of business. Be it agribusiness or energy sectors, Adani excels in every aspect of money making. Adani Group has already spent a whooping Rs 8, 20, 140 crore in Odisha so far.

“Adani is now working with Odisha govt. with an investment of Rs 12,000 crore in Odisha. This week in Make In Odisha Conclave Adani Group’s chairperson Goutam Adani stated that his group is all set to increase the investment in Odisha by Rs 3,000 crore.”

This increased investment will create 10,000 new job openings in Odisha but the timeline was not mentioned by the business tycoon’s speech. But he mentioned that, this increased amount will be spent in upgrading the Dhamara Port. Goutam Adani stated¬†“As per the master plan we have in mind, we anticipate Dhamara having 35 berths with total port capacity of a mammoth 315 million tonnes. This can make Dhamara the largest port and port-based industrial cluster in India”.

While it’s a good news for Odisha that it’s getting a raised investment and new career opportunities,¬†light is still not shaded on the timeline.
